  Paul Gauguin

Paul Gauguin was designed specifically for sailing French Polynesia year-round. She offers an extension of the informal, relaxing environment of the islands, with Regent Seven Seas Cruises' interpretation of six-star service, comfort and luxury. Spacious suites and staterooms (more than 50% with private balconies), a watersports marina, a choice of three open-seating dining venues and an extensive spa are among her six-star attributes. The atmosphere aboard radiates warmth and informality. And her beloved troupe of Gauguines - part cruise staff, part entertainers, part storytellers, add the unique personality of French Polynesia to every cruise.

  Enrichment Programs During The Cruise

In addition to the eclipse and the exotic ports of call and relaxation aboard ship, educational enrichment will be a highlight of this cruise. The editors of Sky & Telescope magazine will host a panel of expert guest speakers who will provide astronomy lectures and discussions leading up to, during, and following the eclipse. We will also enjoy presentations on Polynesian culture and the history, geology, flora and fauna of the fabulous islands we will visit.

Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Circle of Interest

For guests who want to travel with their children or grandchildren, Regent's Ambassadors of the Environment Youth  Circle of Interest (additional fee) is designed to give young people the most fun and enriching experience possible while onboard Paul Gauguin. Young guests will develop a deep appreciation for the wonders of the nature, an understanding of how a coral reef functions, how forest ecosystems are like coral reefs, the value of culture, why it is important to be environmentally aware and what each of us can do to help save coral reefs and protect our planet. Young guests take part in games, expedition film presentations, excursions in and out of the ocean, discussions and activities. Parents are also encouraged to join the excursions.
